Above all, I prioritize self-care and comfort when traveling, so my bag is jam-packed with essentials that support me feeling my best. My must-pack items are chosen specifically to support my digestive system, keep my skin hydrated and promote restful sleep. Of course, I also try to be at least a little prepared for the unexpected.

I always bring my own travel snacks on outbound journeys. These healthy muffins travel well and are so tasty. I am not a coffee drinker, so I bring my own packet of Encha matcha powder and Moon Juice Power Dust Sachets to add to steamed coconut milk once I’m through security. I prefer a KN95 mask during air travel and pack a variety of organic cotton and surgical masks to wear during the rest of my trip. I include a spray bottle of doTERRA On Guard Sanitizing Mist for cleansing my hands on the go. Sunglasses are key for me when traveling, and I love this lightweight pair from SALT. I always make sure to include a Henne Organics Luxury Lip Balm for finger-free applications when on the road. Throw in a lululemon Love Crew Short Sleeve T-Shirt plus a Hydro Flask water bottle to fill upon landing, and I feel prepared for just about anything.

Whether at home or on the road, without exception, I make sure my skin receives the care it needs, so traveling with several skincare products is not a big deal for me. My must-pack items for fresh and hydrated skin are MAHALO Skin Care Unveil Cleanser Melt ConcentrateHawaiian Hydration Advanced Cellular Repair Concentrate and Rare Indigo Beauty Balm. These formulas are gentle, nourishing and super hydrating — which is absolutely critical, particularly after air travel. MAHALO products also come in half and sample sizes, making them a cinch to pack. I never leave home without a tube of Fitglow Beauty Night Lip Serum, a nighttime plumping and hydrating lip treatment with the most delicious texture. My go-to evening ritual is a spoonful each of Moon Juice Dream Dust and Magnesi-Om in a glass of water to calm and soothe my nervous system and prepare for — fingers crossed — restful sleep. For daytime, I add a drop or two of Gressa Lumiere Luminous Complexion Fluid in their flattering Mila shade to moisturizer or sunscreen to add a warm glow to tired skin.

To help me wind down after the excitement of traveling to a new place, I grab my favorite refillable OOLY fountain pen and Moleskine journal and allow my brain to dump busy thoughts onto the page. This gives me a chance to capture the special details of my journey, and bring focus to how I want to spend the following day. I absolutely never travel without a paperback novel, so if I’m still wired after writing, I’ll read a few chapters of something beautiful like Ann Mah’s The Lost Vintage or something fun like Jennifer Weiner’s Big Summer until I fall asleep. I never leave home for overnight travel without my Lunya Washable Silk Sleep Mask, which blocks out sleep-disrupting light without leaving pillow marks on my face. Last but not least, I love the quip electric toothbrush for its slim design and convenient travel case.
